Calibration software is included at no additional cost that connects via RS-232 port to a PC with (included) cable. System consists of two components: Digital Viscometer & Printer. By avoiding the need for additional thermostatization equipment, one avoids considerable added costs as well as unnecessarily complicating the analysis process and using more space on the lab counter. How can this achieved? Simple: The samples should be heated or cooled slightly over or under the temperature of the assay (generally 20ºC) the printer records all values every five seconds (viscosity, temperature, torque in % and rpm) that allows one to reproduce the assay in the same conditions. Through this simple procedure, one can get the viscosity values at the precise temperature required while recording data for registry and control, thus complying with GPL norms. The printer roll is made of standard (non-thermal) paper, similar to that used on desk calculators. (stored printouts will therefore not fade over time). They can be easily and inexpensively replaced by those available in office supply stores. The width of the calculator printer provides ample space for clear, legible data printouts.
